Hallelujah...

No More Pacifiers in the Bryant Household
Payton has been very, very attached to his "paci" and "clyde" (his monkey) since he was only a few months old and we decided 2 years old is old enough. It's been a rough day but we remain hopeful that he will soon leave his memories of the "paci" behind. Until then Jonathan has been kind enough to lay with him until he falls asleep without it. Please pray for Payton's sweet heart as he longs for his precious "paci".
Due to the fact that Sawyer hasn't been sleeping very well at night we decided it was time to take his "paci" away as well. Jonathan and I find ourselves getting up every hour or two to put it back in his mouth and it has been very draining. Fortunately, after only two tries Sawyer has seemed to adjust. The first time was at his afternoon nap today and he cried for 50 minutes before he fell asleep and the second time was when we put him to bed tonight and he only cried for 25 minutes. Let's hope the time continues to decrease!

April,
I can totally relate! We were so hesitant to start Jackson with a paci since we went through the same thing with Abigail! Luckily,
Jackson knows the difference between the paci and the real thing! Keep strong! And trust me, it should only be like a week or so and then it's out of sight, out of mind! Hope all is well, take care.

I am very glad that I was not there to listen to the wailing in the house!! :( It would have been very hard to not wail with them, but this to shall pass...at least Payton still has Clyde. mom bryant
