Trip to Boston

Jonathan and I had a great time at Jon's wedding!

We were able to see some good friends including

Lawrie and Anne Heyworth...

and AC Wood's parents, Tom and Sally!

On Sunday we took the subway into Boston

and walked along Freedom Trail.

The two pictures above and one below are from

The Granary Burial Ground on Park Street.

There were tons of people buried there including

Paul Revere, Mary Goose or "Mother Goose,"

John Hancock, Samuel Adams, victims

of the Boston Massacre, and many others.

This bar inspired the making of the show "Cheers." We had lunch there!

This is in Boston Common.

This is right next to the Park Street Church.

Jonathan has actually been to a service here about 4 years ago

when he was in Boston for school.

The steets were so beatiful to walk!

This is the skyline of the city from Boston Common!

Carriage rides near Faneuil Hall and the Marketplace along Freedom Trail.

King's Chapel...another site along Freedom Trail.

It has so much history you can read if you google it!

This is Jonathan looking into the Governor's Pew.

The pews were built like boxes with doors that opened in order to block

out the drafts before they had heating.

I thought it'd be nice to have now so you could just shut the door

and not have to worry about your kids running into the isles at church!

This is a row of pews. The govenor's is the one with the canopy over it.

Each family would rent a box for a year at a time!

All in all, we had a great time in Boston and were able to see

some really interesting sites. I would love to go back!

Monday we ended up just hanging out at our hotel and watching TV.

We don't get to do that very often since we've been apart again.

We're both back in FL and CA now, safe and sound, and looking

forward to the next time were together.

Oh yeah, if you want to see the pictures larger just click on them!

We love you!

Quick Update on the Family

So I went to the doctor yesterday and I was able to
hear the baby's heart beat for the first time!
We saw it on the ultrasound but it wasn't audible yet,
so this was very exciting and reassuring.
The doctor also measured my uterus and said
it was right where it should be at 16 weeks.
She also recommended that I only work day shifts!
I'm not sure how long it will take to switch my schedule
but I should be back on days by mid-June at the latest.
Jonathan took his last test today and passed.
He's officially done with API tests and will just have
some miscellaneous training to do in the next two weeks.
Primary (the next phase of flight school) will start in June.
Sorry, no pictures this time!
We'll be in Boston next weekend for Jon Beaton's wedding.
I'm sure we'll take plenty then and I promise I'll be quick to share!
Love you!

Trip to Pensacola

This past weekend I went to Pensacola to see Jonathan.
We had a great time hanging out at the beach and enjoying the sun.
I was also able to spend some much over due time with Trisha.
JB also took me to the church he's been going to over the past month.
It was great and I definitely think it's a place we'll continue to enjoy.
As for me...I'm still working nights.
My next doctor's appointment is Thursday and we're really praying
she'll make the recommendation for me to go back to days.
I just don't adjust to nights and I become very moody and emotional
(as if being pregnant isn't bad enough).
JB is doing great in Florida.
He's passed all of his tests so far, including the swimming.
He has two tests left in API and should finish on June 2.
I'll update you on the baby after my appointment Thursday.
It seems like my belly gets a little bigger every day.
We also scheduled our 19/20 week ultrasound for June 14th.
I can't wait to find out if the baby is a boy or girl!
Thank you for praying for us and for checking for updates on the site.
Please keep us updated on how things are back home (TX and OH)!
We miss you!
