Marine Corps Birthday Ball...

Last night we went the Marine Corps Birthday Ball.
We had a great time and were fortunate enough to have some great
friends who were willing to watch Payton and Sawyer for us!
I think it was the latest we've been out in a long time!
Just after Thanksgiving Jonathan and I are both going to be traveling.
Jonathan is going to San Diego for three weeks for Legal School.
He's going to be the legal officer for his sqaudron.
I am coming home to Ohio for a few weeks with the boys as well.
I can't wait for everyone to meet Sawyer :)
On another note, Sawyer and Payton are doing great.
Sawyer has been getting a bottle every couple of weeks and he's
been taking it like a champ.
Payton has taken a new interest in his books and has even
started couting things.
Hope you enjoy the update and pictures!
Take care :)

Payton Can Count (and Sawyer still sleeps a lot)...

Aren't his little sweats SO cute?!
He LOVES his swing!
Payton is learning to count.
Recently, I've caught him counting things like
his cups and animals and saying, "One, Two, Two, Four, Six."
It's precious!
I forgot to add that Payton had his 2 year well baby check on Monday.
He was 26.8 lbs and 34 inches tall...
Around the 25th percentile for height and weight.
He's a little guy but we're not surprised :)
(Thanks for the blog update to remind me, Julie!)

Payton Turns 2...

On Sunday we had Payton's 2nd Birthday Party.
We had all of his little friends over and watched a video we made of Payton, ate cake and ice cream, opened gifts and played outside in the backyard.
Everyone had a great time.

In this picture Daddy and Payton are trying to catch a Gecko in the house.
This was actually taken Monday but I had to include it...It was so cute.
Here is Payton chasing the gecko under the table. This is Payton and Torik looking at "Manny" the Preying Mantis that Daddy caught. The boys enjoyed feeding it bugs and watching it eat them. Payton Playing with His New Tonka truck Under His Slide

Opening Gifts...The red one was actually from Mommy and Daddy.

He was very proud of himself for blowing out the candles.

My Dad built Payton a barn for his birthday!
It's modeled after the building my dad is putting up at their house right now.
Here is Payton trying to climb inside!

It's really cool...It even has an Ohio State basketball hoop painted on inside back wall.

We're so blessed to have such great family and friends who care for Payton! He had such a great birthday and received a ton of great gifts including the barn and animals from Papa and Grandma, walkie talkies, a Tonka truck, several other trucks, several puzzles, a train/block set, a coloring book and magna-doodle, some bath toys, a new soccer ball, a golf club set, new rubber boots from the movie "Cars", along with a lot of other great gifts! Thank you to everyone who helped share in celebrating his precious little life :) We love you!
